I’ve been a manager for Ready Team One since February this year and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it and been thoroughly challenged (on every level in in almost every way) in it too. I moved to Perth just for this opportunity and now that I have a better grasp on the business I feel it can move into production now. True we are hitting some snags atm but I don’t see them as being a problem in a month’s time and hence we have to be ready to start running the moment the blocks are removed.

In order to keep moving forward there are a number of things that have to be conquered and created. Firstly there is me- I need to have a life outside of work. This might seen superfluous but it’s integral – for the last 9 months I’ve lived and breathed RTO and now such attention may harm instead of help. I miss things that I would easily spot if I could utilise my traditional “out of the box thinking” (I see it as normal but evidently others see it as different). There are easier, cheaper, and more effective ways of doing things that are only viewable with a clear mind. I also want to implement the structure that I talked/wanted when I first started- though it’s important to note (a) no structure means no growth, no way of stepping away from the day to day, and leads to frustration and exhaustion of everyone (b) too much structure kills creativity and love of the work.
